Kansas Foundation for Agriculture in the Classroom is offering a graduate-level summer course for Kansas teachers in June.

Full-tuition scholarships provided by agriculture donors are available, which make this exceptional resource an affordable option for interested educators.

“Connecting Your Classroom to Kansas Agriculture,” a three-credit hour course, will be offered in Manhattan June 10 to 14. The theme for this course is general agriculture, and participants will be exposed to many topics including plant science, food science and biotechnology.

The KFAC course is offered through Kansas State University Division of Continuing Education, the College of Education and the College of Agriculture. Participants earn K-State graduate credit, and the course is approved for continuing education hours required of teachers for license renewal and salary advancement. Applications are available here and on the KFAC website at www.ksagclassroom.org. The application deadline is May 2. To learn more about KFAC summer graduate courses, visit the KFAC website, visit KFAC on Facebook, or contact Cathy Musick, KFAC executive director, at 785-320-4350.
