Dodge City Winter Livestock, Inc., reported receipts of 1,172 head Feb. 27, compared to 1,813 head last week and 3,974 head last year, according to the USDA-Kansas Department of Agriculture Market News, Dodge City, Kan.
Compared with last week, in a very limited test, steers 700 to 950 pounds were steady. Heifers 700 to 900 pounds were firm to $2 higher. Steers and heifers 700 pound and under not enough for an accurate market test, however a higher undertone was noted. Trade was very active, demand very good, receipts were curtailed due to another snowstorm and blizzard. The feeder supply was 33% steers and 67% heifers with 91% 600 pounds and over.

Medium and large frame 1 to 2, 5 head, 774 lbs., 134.00; 19 head, 894 lbs., 129.00; 76 head, 906 lbs., 127.00 to 129.00 (128.47). Feeder Holstein steers, Large frame 3, 10 head, 647 lbs., 97.00.
Feeder heifers: Medium and large frame 1, 6 head, 400 lbs., 157.00; 7 head, 504 lbs., 149.00; 655 to 675 lbs., 133.00 to 134.00 (133.12); 722 to 744 lbs., 132.60 to 134.50 (133.39); 755 to 770 lbs., 131.00 to 132.60 (132.31); 32 head, 784 lbs., 128.85 fleshy; 827 to 847 lbs., 127.00 to 127.75 (127.40); 863 to 889 lbs., 125.50 to 126.60 (126.44); 83 head, 916 lbs., 124.85.
