OKC West livestock auction reportThe OKC West Livestock Auction, El Reno, Okla., reported receipts of 1,300 head Feb. 27, compared to 4,346 head last week and 11,734 head last year, according to the USDA-Oklahoma Department of Agriculture Market News Service, Oklahoma City, Okla. Compared to last week, feeder cattle and calves not well tested, but limited sales lower. This lower market due to the continued travel problems created from the blizzard that dumped up to 22 inches in Western and Northwestern Oklahoma this week. The supply included 93% over 600 pounds and 44% heifers. Feeder steers: Medium and large frame 1, 566 to 586 lbs., 159.00 to 165.00 (162.79); 6 head, 621 lbs., 144.50 calves; 685 to 695 lbs., 142.50 to 143.00 (142.96); 12 head, 689 lbs., 142.00 calves; 78 head, 727 lbs., 143.20; 82 head, 787 lbs., 134.80; 824 to 847 lbs., 130.00 to 134.90 (133.87); 864 to 896 lbs., 128.25 to 132.00 (129.88); 904 to 923 lbs., 125.50 to 127.50 (126.85); 14 head, 985 lbs., 123.50.
