Dodge City Winter Livestock, Inc., reported receipts of 1,813 head Feb. 20, compared to 3,402 head last week and 3,974 head last year, according to the USDA-Kansas Department of Agriculture Market News, Dodge City, Kan.
Compared with last week's major decline, steers at 600 to 1,000 pounds and heifers at 600 to 900 pounds were steady, receipts curtailed due a threatening major snowstorm. Steers and heifers at 600 pounds and under were not enough for a market test. The feeder supply was 75% steers and 25% heifers, with 95% 600 pounds and over.
