Kansas

Plan to attend an upcoming program, Simple Home Modifications for Aging in Place.

Discover simple modifications that can be made to your house or apartment so you can stay in it as you get older. Everyone wants to stay in their house as long as possible.

The program will be taught next week on March 25, 10 a.m. at the Courthouse Basement Meeting Room in Concordia. That afternoon the program will be repeated at the Extension Office Meeting Room in Belleville at 1:30 p.m. The program will be presented in Clay Center on March 26, 10 a.m. at the Extension Office Meeting Room, 322 Grant. The following week plan to attend the program, April 3, in the Washington Extension Office Meeting Room at noon.

Home modifications that can be done easily and cost effectively will be explored. Deanna Turner, River Valley District Extension agent, will also discuss home devices that can be useful to this challenge. These modifications and devices can help a person age in place mentally, physically and financially.

Contact Deanna Turner at the K-State Research & Extension River Valley District Office at 785-632-5335 for more information.
