The Pratt Livestock Feeder Cattle Auction, Pratt, Kan., reported receipts of 5,798 head, March 7, compared to 6,692 head, last year, according to the USDA-Kansas Department of Agriculture Market News, Dodge City, Kan.

Due to several snow storms the last two weeks, no true market comparison was available. Feeder steers and heifers at 600 pounds and over showed a lower undertone. Steers and heifers at 700 pounds and under were not enough for an accurate market test. Slaughter cows and bulls had no comparison due to snow storms. Trade and demand was light to moderate. Receipts were 94% 600 pounds and over, 4% 600 pounds and under, 2% slaughter cows and bulls. The feeder supply was 47% steers and 53% heifers.
