OKC sheep and goat auction reportThe OKC West Sheep and Goat Auction, El Reno, Okla., reported receipts of 1,101 head March 6, compared to last sale Feb. 21 of 507 head, according to the USDA-Oklahoma Market News, Oklahoma City, Okla. Compared to the last sale Feb. 21st, few comparable sales to accurately establish a trend. However, a strong undertone was noted. The supply included 43% goats, 57% sheep. All classes sold by the CWT. Slaughter goats: Selection 1, 30 to 45 lbs., 200.00 to 228.00; 50 to 80 lbs., 200.00 to 241.00. Selection 2, 80 to 100 lbs., 130.00 to 165.00. Slaughter nannies: Selection 2, 80 to 140 lbs., 87.00 to 130.00. Selection 3, 60 to 100 lbs., 71.00 to 91.00. Slaughter whethers: Selection 1, 85 to 125 lbs., 117.00 to 144.00. Selection 2, 95 to 160 lbs., 102.00 to 112.00. Slaughter lambs: Choice 2 to 3, Wooled and Shorn, Hair Sheep 55 to 90 lbs., 122.00 to 177.00; Hair Sheep, 90 to 100 lbs., 79.00 to 122.00; 60 lbs., 164.00; 90 to 125 lbs., 85.00 to 122.00; 130 to 200 lbs., 83.00 to 109.00.
