The 61st annual Oklahoma Panhandle State University Performance Tested Bull Sale was held Feb. 18. Fifty-two bulls brought $142,100 for an average of $2732.69. An Angus bull consigned by B&M Angus of Edmond, Okla., was the top-selling bull at $5,100. The bull is a son of B&M Rito 745 and sold to Stephens Land & Cattle Co., LLC of Guymon, Okla. The next two top-selling bulls sold for $4,500 each. One was an Angus bull consigned by Phil Light of Turpin, Okla. and the other was an Angus consigned by Al Rutledge of Stillwater Okla. The sires of these two bulls were GAR Progress and GAR New Design 5050. The one Simmental bull that sold went for $3,100 and the one Maine-Anjou sold for $2,000.
