Superior video auction reportThe Superior Video Auction reported offerings of 33,000 head Feb. 22, according to the USDA-Texas Department of Agriculture Market News Service, Amarillo, Texas. Compared to the last sale feeder steers and heifers weak to $8 lower with the largest declines on weights over 700 pounds and once again a limited test on lighter weight offerings. The supply included 66% feeder steers and heifers over 600 pounds, 60% of the feeder supply was steers and 40% heifers. Prices for the 600 to 700 pound weights are for calves in most cases this time of the year. Prices FOB based on net weights after a 2 to 3% pencil shrink or equivalent, with a 3 to 6 cent slide on yearlings and 4 to 10 on calves. Deliveries are current thru February 2013.
