NALF elects president to serve second term

The 2013 annual membership meeting of the North American Limousin Foundation took place Jan. 14 at the Renaissance Denver Hotel in Denver, Colo. The meeting was held in conjunction with the National Western Stock Show with nearly 100 members and guests in attendance.

With NALF President Bob Mitchell, Wis., presiding, the main order of business was the Board of Directors election. The NALF nominating committee chairman presented five nominees for the five open positions.

Chad Settje, Neb., and John Tobe, Ky., were awarded second terms on the Board of Directors. Newly elected members of the NALF Board of Directors are Austin Hager, N.D.; Dexter Edwards, N.C., and Jim Bob Hendrickson, Okla.

Bob Mitchell, Wis., will lead the Foundation by serving his second term as president for the coming year. Matt Lewis, Colo., will serve as vice president, Mike Hall, Calif., will serve as secretary and Chad Settje, Neb., was elected as treasurer. Charles Linhart, Iowa, will serve a third term as the Executive Committee's member-at-large. Mike Smith, Kan., will serve a second term as an ex officio member of both the Board and its Executive Committee.

The remaining members of the 2013 Board of Directors are Tom Vaughn, N.D; Brian Skaggs, Okla.; Bret Begert, Texas; Warren Symens, S.D.; and Fred Wacker, Mont.

The North American Limousin Foundation, headquartered in Englewood, Colo., provides programs and services, including the documentation of more than 25,000 head of cattle annually, for approximately 4,000 members and their commercial customers. The Limousin breed and Lim-Flex hybrid offer industry leading growth and efficiency, while being an ideal complement to British breeds. For more information about NALF, please visit
