Fuel efficiency tops agenda for company

Don Hardy Fuel Efficient Engines continues to move forward with new production of parts and products.

The Floydada, Texas, company has been in business since 1965, starting with race cars and then with irrigation engines in the early 1980s. Don Hardy’s firm has seen the farming community move forward with new up and coming products and become more efficient in recent years. For this reason Don Hardy Fuel Efficient Engines also has been meeting the demand of customers and the Environmental Protection Agency. The company is now introducing the new certified 7.4 and 8.0 liter irrigation engine that will meet EPA standards. This new system has an electronic fuel management system with electronic governor and automatic shut down. These engines are more efficient than standard engines have been in the past.
