Colorado feeder cattle summary

The Colorado Auction Feeder Cattle Summary, Greeley, Co., reported receipts of 884 head June 14, compared to 3,259 head last week and 2,463 head last year, according to the USDA-Colorado Department of Agriculture Market News, Greeley, Colo.

Compared to last week, no market analysis available due to limited comparable sales on all classes. Receipts remained steady in the two Southeast markets, with the majority of the supply consisting of cull cows and cow-calf pairs. Trading activity was moderate on moderate demand. The supply consisted of 43 percent steers and 57% heifers. Feeders over 600 pounds were 39% of the total supply.

Feeder steers: Medium and large frame 1 410 to 425 lbs., 166.00 to 169.00; 550 to 585 lbs., 148.00 to 154.00; 775 lbs., 135.50; 852 lbs., 131.00. Medium and large frame 1 to 2 ,386 lbs., 166.00; 410 to 425 lbs., 156.00 to 161.00; 491 lbs., 151.00; 518 lbs., 152.00 to 156.00; 610 to 625 lbs., 139.00 to 140.00.

Feeder heifers: Medium and large frame 1, 327 lbs., 167.00; 465 to 495 lbs., 141.00 to 144.00; 570 to 585 lbs., 134.50 to 135.00; 600 to 635 lbs., 131.00 to 136.50; 665 lbs., 129.00; 737 lbs., 128.00. Medium and large frame 1 to 2, 343 lbs., 145.00; 360 to 400 lbs., 142.50 to 146.00; 419 lbs., 144.00; 450 to 470 lbs., 136.00 to 137.00; 502 lbs., 131.00; 765 lbs., 115.00; 893 lbs., 113.00.
