Colorado feeder cattle auction summary

The Colorado Auction Feeder Cattle Summary, Greeley, Colo., reported receipts of 1,281 head June 28, compared to 597 head last week, according to the USDA-Colorado Department of Agriculture Market News Service, Greeley, Colo.

Compared to last week. no market analysis available due to limited comparable sales on all classes. Receipts remain steady in the two southeast markets, with the majority of the supply consisting of cull cows and cow-calf pairs. Trading activity was moderate on moderate demand. The supply consisted of 77% steers and 23% heifers, with 34% of the total supply of feeders over 600 pounds.

Feeder steers: Medium and large frame 1, 310 to 340 lbs., 192.00 to 199.00; 602 lbs., 144.00, 603 lbs., thin fleshed 151.00. Medium and large frame 1 to 2, 360 to 370 lbs., 178.00 to 183.00; 400 to 475 lbs., 163.00 to 174.00; 512 lbs., 143.00.

Feeder Holstein steers: Large frame 3, 215 to 285 lbs., 128.00 to 136.00, 267 lbs., fancy 143.00; 300 to 355 lbs., 117.00 to 123.00; 635 to 665 lbs., 100.00 to 100.50; 725 to 745 lbs., 94.00. Large frame 3 to 4, 235 to 295 lbs., 121.00 to 126.00; 373 lbs., 104.00; 415 to 470 lbs., 97.00 to 101.00; 810 to 850 lbs., 85.00 to 89.00; 946 lbs., 87.00.

Feeder heifers: Medium and large frame 1, 300 to 375 lbs., 153.00 to 166.00; 535 lbs., 139.50; 600 to 695 lbs., 129.75 to 136.00; 875 to 900 lbs., 118.50 to 122.50. Medium and large frame 1 to 2, 310 to 345 lbs., 153.00 to 158.00; 609 lbs., 129.00; 750 to 790 lbs., 118.50 to 120.00.
