San Angelo livestock auction report

The Producers Livestock Auction Co., Report, San Angelo, Texas, reported receipts of 615 head June 27, compared to 1,031 head last week and 1,062 head last year, according to the USDA Market News Service, San Angelo, Texas.

Compared to last week feeder steers and heifers firm. Slaughter cows and slaughter bulls were steady. Stock cows and pairs were steady. Trading was fairly active, demand good. The supply included 14% slaughter cows, 1% slaughter bulls, 80% feeders, 5% stock cows and pairs. The offering included 50% steers and bulls, 20% weighed over 600 pounds.

Feeder steers: Medium and large frame 1, 500 to 600 lbs., 154.00 to 159.00; 600 to 700 lbs., 140.00 to 148.00; 700 to 800 lbs., 131.00 to 135.00. Medium and large frame 1 to 2, 400 to 450 lbs., 161.00 to 177.00; 500 to 600 lbs., 142.00 to 149.50; 600 to 700 lbs., 133.00 to 138.00; 700 to 750 lbs., 123.00 to 128.00; 862 lbs., 118.00. Medium and large frame 2, 350 to 400 lbs., 164.00 to 170.00; 450 to 500 lbs., 143.00 to 150.00; 500 to 600 lbs., 132.00 to 140.00; 600 to 700 lbs., 122.00 to 126.00; 700 to 800 lbs., 115.00 to 118.00.

Feeder bulls: Medium and large frame 2, 700 to 925 lbs., 99.00 to 111.00.

Feeder heifers: Medium and large frame 1, 400 to 500 lbs., 146.00 to 147.00; 500 to 600 lbs., 135.00 to 143.00; 700 to 825 lbs., 121.00 to 123.00. Medium and large frame 1 to 2, 350 to 400 lbs., 156.00 to 161.00; 400 to 500 lbs., 138.00 to 144.00; 500 to 700 lbs., 124.00 to 132.00; 700 to 800 lbs., 114.00 to 119.00. Medium and large frame 2, 200 to 300 lbs., 141.00 to 168.00; 498 lbs., 131.00; 500 to 700 lbs., 120.00 to 125.00; 700 to 825 lbs., 109.00 to 111.00.

Slaughter cows: Breakers, 75 to 80% lean, 1300 to 1600 lbs., 74.00 to 78.00. Boners, 80 to 85% lean, 900 to 1500 lbs., 77.00 to 83.50; high dressing, 85.00 to 87.00; low dressing, 74.00 to 78.00. Lean, 85 to 90% lean, 850 to 1150 lbs., 74.00 to 77.00; low dressing, 64.00 to 73.00; 85 to 90% lean, 600 to 900 lbs., 58.00 to 63.00.

Slaughter bulls: Yield grade 1, 1400 to 2100 lbs., 86.00 to 93.00; high dressing, 97.00; low dressing, 1100 to 1600 lbs., 80.00 to 88.50.

Stock cows: Heifers, Pregnancy tested, all sold by the head. Medium and large frame 1 to 2, 1100.00 to 1250.00. Medium and large frame 2, 970.00 to 1000.00.

Pairs: All sold by the pair. All have 200- to 450-lbs., calves. Medium and large frame 1 to 2, 1250.00 to 1350.00.

Stocker/feeder cows: Medium and large frame 1 to 2, young, 900 to 1075 lbs., no test; young and middle age, 850 to 1050 lbs., 90.00 to 91.00 cwt; middle age, 900 to 1375 lbs., 82.00 to 83.50 cwt; thin and or aged, 800 to 1200 lbs., no test.
