Pratt 3 p.m. cattle sales

The Pratt Livestock Feeder Cattle Auction, Pratt, Kan., reported estimated receipts of 2,700 head as of 3 p.m., July 25, according to the USDA-Kansas Department of Agriculture Market News Serice, Dodge City, Kan.

Compared with last week, steers at 700 to 800 pounds were steady, and those at 800 to 1000 pounds were $2 to $4 lower. Heifers were steady in an extremely limited supply of medium and large frame 1. There were not enough steer or heifer calves for a market test, but limited sales were steady.

Feeder steers: Medium and large frame 1, 57 head, 637 lbs., 159.10; 7 head, 680 lbs., 151.50; 17 head, 724 lbs., 154.25; 750 to 800 lbs., 145.85 to 149.10; 800 to 850 lbs., 144.50 to 147.60; 850 to 900 lbs., 141.35 to 145.10; 900 to 950 lbs., 138.35 to 141.10; 61 head, 950 lbs., 138.50.

Feeder heifers: Medium and large frame 1, 51 head, 579 lbs., 151.85; 6 head, 640 lbs., 144.00; 650 to 700 lbs., 144.25 to 150.00; 29 head, 730 lbs., 143.00; 800 to 850 lbs., 136.60 to 139.35; 9 head, 856 lbs., 136.25.
