KLA feedyard leaders spend time in Denver

The second session of the 2013 Kansas Livestock Association Feedyard Leadership Program was held recently in Denver. During a visit to the offices of National Cattlemen’s Beef Association, the 10-member class learned more about the history of the organization and, through an example based exercise, how a unified industry structure along with a strong national/state partnership work to represent the industry.

CattleFax market analysts provided a day-long update session and risk management seminar. Finally, participants engaged in a strategic business planning seminar.

The third installment of the Feedyard Leadership Program will be held in Washington, D.C., in September and focus on policy priorities of NCBA, KLA and its cattle feeder’s members. The program is made possible by the support of Zoetis.
