Nebraska Wheat Board to have annual budget meeting

The Nebraska Wheat Board will have its annual budget meeting on June 13 to 14. The meeting will be held at the Frenchman Valley Coop, 202 Broadway St., Imperial, Neb., starting at 8 a.m. MST.

Items to be discussed include selection of contracts and a budget for the fiscal year 2013-2014, a strategic plan update, NWB policies and procedures, reports from NWB board members, upcoming events and travel. The public is welcome to attend any open portion of the meeting. An executive session slated to start at 8:30 a.m. MST on June 14 will be closed to the public.

A copy of the agenda will be available on the NWB website, www.nebraskawheat.com, one week before the meeting. Interested parties may also contact the NWB office for a copy of the agenda or further information.

The Nebraska Wheat Board administers the check-off of 0.4 percent of net value of wheat marketed in Nebraska at the point of first sale. The board invests the funds in programs of international and domestic market development and improvement, policy development, research, promotion, and education.
