Champions selected at Missouri Angus Preview Show

Angus enthusiasts exhibited 119 entries at the 2013 Missouri Angus Association Preview Show, June 12 in Sedalia, Mo. Cody Lowderman, Macomb, Ill., evaluated 94 females, 20 bulls, and four cow-calf pairs before naming the winners.

Clearwater Eriskay J 2202 won the honors of grand champion female after being named senior calf champion. Jera Pipkin, Republic, Mo., owns the September 2012 daughter of EXAR Upshot 0562B.

PVF Missie 2018 claimed reserve grand champion female honors for Carter Ward, Plattsburg, Mo. The January 2012 daughter of S A V Brilliance 8077 previously won junior champion.

Wallace Challenger 280 won the title of grand champion bull. Wallace Cattle Co., Stotts City, Mo., and Carriers Muddy Creek Angus Farm, Lockwood, Mo., own the September 2012 son of PVF ALL PAYDAY 729. He previously won senior calf champion. 74-51 Sudden Look 1023 was awarded reserve grand champion bull after claiming senior champion. Hunter Angus, Fair Grove, Mo., owns the January 2011 son of B C Lookout 7024. Clayton Smith, West Plains, Mo., showed the grand champion cow-calf pair. Checkerhill Viola X42 is a December 2010 daughter of S A V Brilliance 8077. A November 2012 daughter of Kesslers Frontman R001 completes the winning pair. Samantha Whittaker, Miller, Mo., owns the reserve grand champion cow-calf pair. G P N Queen 0N35 is a September 2010 daughter of TC Rito 416. Her calf is a February 2013 heifer sired by TC Rito 416.
