High Plains weighted average direct slaughter cattle sales for the week ending Dec. 30, totaled 71,996 head, compared to 51,821 head last week and 95,059 head last year, according to the USDA Market News Service, St. Joseph, Mo.
The report was based on sales in Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Kansas, Nebraska, Colorado, Iowa and Minnesota feedlots.
