Kansas Annie's Project meetings scheduled
A series of meetings for Women Involved in Agriculture will begin on Feb. 1, with meetings held each Friday through March 15. The series is a Kansas Annie's Project, modeled after other projects in Kansas and surrounding states. Farm owners, spouses, or women involved in any sector of agriculture are invited to participate.
Annie's Project is a six-session course for women in agriculture with a passion for business management. The cost is $60 per person and includes all course materials and lunch at the sessions. Enrollment is limited to 25 participants.
Session dates and topics are:
Feb. 1--True Colors (personality profile);
Feb. 8--Financial Management, Understanding Financial Statements and FSA Programs;
Feb. 15--Learning to Use Quicken 2012;
Feb. 22--Developing Marketing Plans and Making Marketing Decisions;
March 8--Kansas Lease Law & Determining Equitable Leases; and
March 15--Estate Planning & Family Dynamics/Communication.
Each meeting is scheduled to start at 10 a.m. and adjourn at 3 p.m. Meetings will be held at Highland Community College on East Highway 24 in Wamego.
