The Pratt Livestock Feeder Cattle Auction, Pratt, Kan., Jan. 24, reported estimated receipts of 2,000 head as of 3 p.m., according to the Kansas Department of Agriculture-USDA Market News, Dodge City, Kan.
Compared with last week, in a limited test, feeder steers at 700 to 1,000 pounds were $2 to $4 higher. Heifers at 750 to 800 pounds were weak to $2 lower, and those at 800 pounds and over were not enough for a market test. Steers at 700 pounds and under and heifers at 600 pounds and under were not enough for a market test as of 3 p.m.
Feeder steers: 700 to 750 lbs., 148.25 to 150.00; 750 to 800 lbs., 145.00 to 147.75; 800 to 850 lbs., 144.25 to 145.50; 65 head 852 lbs., 143.25; 900 to 950 lbs., 134.00 to 135.10; 950 to 1000 lbs., 133.25 to 134.60; 8 head 1013 lbs., 130.75.
Feeder heifers: 750 to 800 lbs., 133.85 to 134.00.
