Grain market closeThe USDA Market News Service, Greeley, Colo, in the close grain report for Jan. 22, reported in futures trading that Chicago March soft red winter wheat was $7.79 1/4, down 12 cents. March corn $7.28 1/2, up 1 cents. March soybeans $14.51 3/4, up 22 1/2 cents. The export bid for the direct Gulf deliver of No. 1 hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, rail $9.15 to $9.25 3/4, down 13 cents; No. 2 soft red winter wheat, barge $8.47 1/4 to $8.51 1/4, down 12 cents; No. 2 yellow corn, barge $7.76 1/2 to $7.84 1/2, up 1 cents; No. 2 yellow sorghum, rail $13.27 3/4 to $13.72 1/4, up 1 3/4 to 2 1/4 cents; No. 2 yellow sorghum, barge, $13.18 3/4 to $13.45 1/2, up 1 3/ to 2 1/4 cents; No. 2 yellow soybeans, barge, $15.47 3/4 to $15.51 3/4, up 22 1/2 to 19 1/2 cents. Colby, Kan., unit train wheat bid was $7.83. In Denver and the surround area, hard red winter wheat, up to 12 percent protein, was $7.66 to $8.51. No. 1 hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, northwest Colorado was mostly 13 cents lower. In north central Colorado, wheat was $7.66 to $8.11. In northeast Colorado, wheat was $7.57 to $7.68. In east central Colorado, wheat was $7.58 to $7.77. In southeast Colorado, wheat was $7.63 to $7.91. In south central Colorado, wheat was $6.94. In southwest Nebraska and southeast Wyoming, wheat bids were $7.65 to $7.83. No. 2 yellow corn in north central Colorado was 1 to 2 cents higher $7.14 to $7.59 per bushel. In northeast Colorado, the country elevator corn bids were $7.19 to $7.44. In east central Colorado, corn was $7.31 to $7.41. In southeast Colorado, corn was $7.62 to 7.67. In southwest Nebraska and southeast Wyoming, corn bids were $7.13 to $7.28 per bushel. No. 2 yellow sorghum in southeast Colorado was 2 cents higher at $12.57 to $12.66 per cwt. No. 1 yellow soybeans in southwest Nebraska were 23 cents higher $13.73 to $13.96 per bushel. White millet in Colorado, southwest Nebraska and southeast Wyoming was $31 to $38.50 per cwt. Sunflowers were $23 to $26 cwt. In Denver and surrounding areas, corn was $7.14 to $7.59 per bushel. Barley was steady at $13. In northeast Colorado and Nebraska, pinto beans were steady $35 per cwt; in North Dakota and Minnesota, pinto beans were steady $32 to $34. In North Dakota and Minnesota, black beans were steady $30 to $32. Great Northerns were steady at $40 to $42 in northeast Colorado and Nebraska. In North Dakota and Minnesota, navy beans were steady $30 to $32. In northeast Colorado and Nebraska, light red kidneys were steady $50; in North Dakota and Minnesota, light red kidneys, no bid.
