Private and commercial applicator credits offered

Colorado

Private pesticide licenses are valid for a three-year period. During this three-year period, applicators are required to earn seven credits to renew their licenses without having to retest. Test sessions meet the seven credit requirement for private applicators as mandated by the Colorado Department of Agriculture.

Commercial applicators will be able to ear the seven core credits from the private applicator sessions plus the following credits for the commercial categories: agricultural weeds, agricultural insects, range, and right-of-way at the Akron site.

Time, date, location and credits offered are as follows:

Feb. 11--1 p.m. to 5 p.m., Fort Morgan Extension, 7 core credits;

Feb. 12--5:30 p.m. to 9:15 p.m., Sterling Extension Office, 7 core credits;

Feb. 13--8:30 a.m. to noon, Holyoke Community Center, 7 core credits;

Feb. 14--8:30 a.m. to noon, Akron Extension Office, 7 core credits; and

Feb. 14--1:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., Akron Extension Office, 4 commercial credits.

Registration for the Feb. 11 or 12 sessions at Fort Morgan or Sterling is $35. Send to Logan County Extension Office, 508 S. 10th Ave., Suite 1, Sterling, CO 80751-3408.

Registration for the Feb. 13 or 14 sessions at Holyoke or Akron is $35. Send to Kit Carson County Extension Office, 251-16th St., Suite 101, Burlington, CO 80807.

Registration for the Feb. 14 afternoon commercial credit session at Akron is $40. Send to Kit Carson County, 251-16th St., Suite 101, Burlington, CO 80807.

Registration can also be done electronically by visiting the Golden Plains Area website at http://goldenplains.colostate.edu and scroll down then click on the "Pesticide Credits" link. Credit cards will be accepted locally, however, call the site you wish to attend and register to reserve a spot.
