The Bloomfield Feeder Cattle Auction, Bloomfield, Iowa, reported receipts of 2,592 head Jan. 5, according to the Iowa Department of Ag-USDA Market News, Des Moines, Iowa.
There was no comparison as the sale was not reported for three weeks. Trade was active and demand very good. Receipts included 53% feeder cattle over 600 pounds, 55% of the feeders were steers and 45% were heifers.
