The summary of livestock auctions in Arkansas for the week ending Jan. 3, showed estimated receipts of 1,020 head, compared to 3,944 head last week and 9,085 head last year, according to the USDA-Arkansas Cooperative Extension Service, Little Rock, Ark.
Compared to last week, there were not enough cattle on offer for an accurate price test. The supply included 530 stocker and feeder calves, 280 feeder yearlings, 70 replacement cows, and 115 slaughter cows, and 25 slaughter bulls. The feeder supply was 36% yearling heifers. There will be a full report Jan. 11.
