Winter Beef Cattle Producers Meeting plannedMissouri University of Missouri Extension and MFA Inc. are working together to conduct a Winter Beef Cattle Producers Meeting focusing on strategies and programs cattle producers can implement to add value to their cattle operation. The meeting will be held on Jan. 29 at the American Legion Hall at 1001 W 22nd St., Higginsville, Mo. The meeting will begin at 11:30 a.m. with lunch sponsored by MFA Inc. The educational portion of the meeting will begin with Brian Bertelsen, vice president of field operations for U. S. Premium Beef discussing breeding and management strategies that will add value to your cattle. Mike Kasten, program director of the Quality Beef Program, will be presenting a newly implemented program by the University of Missouri - Extension concerning the "Quality Beef By The Numbers, Putting It All Together." Mike John, Director of MFA Health Track Program, will give a presentation on MFA's Age and Source Verification and the VAC 45 Program.
