Pratt Livestock Feeder Cattle Auction, Pratt, Kan., Jan. 31, reported estimated receipts of 3,500 head, as of 3 p.m., according to the USDA-Kansas Department of Agriculture Market News, Dodge City, Kan.
Compared with last week, feeder steers 750 to 900 pounds were steady with last weeks major advance, 900 to 1050 pounds were firm to $2 higher, few 650 pounds and under firm to $2 higher. Heifers 550 to 950 pounds were $2 to $4 higher, the bulk were $3 higher. Heifers 550 pounds and under not enough for a market test as of 3 p.m.
Feeder steers: 10 head, 521 lbs., 177.50; 38 head, 597 lbs., 162.25; 600 to 650 lbs., 156.50 to 160.00; 12 head, Thin Fleshed 605 lbs., 164.50; 8 head, 681 lbs., 152.25; 54 head, Thin Fleshed 659 lbs., 154.50; 750 to 800 lbs., 143.50 to 147.50; 800 to 850 lbs., 142.75 to 144.25; 850 to 900 lbs., 141.25; 900 to 950 lbs., 134.25 to 138.00; 950 to 1000 lbs., 133.85 to 134.00; 1000 to 1050 lbs., 132.00 to 134.10.
Feeder heifers: 46 head, Thin Fleshed 577 to 588 lbs., 149.50 to 151.00; 600 to 650 lbs., 138.00 to 141.00; 63 head, Thin Fleshed 606 to 644 lbs., 145.00 to 145.60; 650 to 700 lbs., 139.75 to 141.25; 24 head, Thin Fleshed 669 lbs., 143.25; 700 to 750 lbs., 135.25 to 139.00; 750 to 800 lbs., 136.25 to 138.00; 800 to 850 lbs., 133.10 to 136.00; 850 to 900 lbs., 132.85 to 135.00; 900 to 950 lbs., 126.75 to 128.35.
