The Dunlap Feeder Cattle Auction, Dunlap, Iowa, reported receipts of 3,243 head Jan. 25, compared to 1,222 head last year, according to the Iowa Department of Agriculture-USDA Market News, Des Moines, Iowa.
Compared to last week, steers at 500 to 750 pounds were $6 to $8 higher and at 750 to 900 pounds were $2 higher. Heifers at 550 to 650 pounds were $5 higher and at 700 to 800 pounds were $3 higher. Light cattle were limited in numbers last week. The receipts included 54% steers and 46% heifers, with 73% over 600 pounds.
