High Plains weighted average direct slaughter cattle sales for the week ending Feb. 17, totaled 58,387 head, compared to 76,952 head last week and 147,595 head last year, according to the USDA Market News Service, St. Joseph, Mo.
The report was based on sales in Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Kansas, Nebraska, Colorado, Iowa and Minnesota feedlots.
Steers: Live FOB basis, over 80% Choice, 3,334 head, 1,320 to 1,550 lbs., 122.00 to 124.00 (123.07); 65 to 80% Choice, 5,408 head, 1,110 to 1,535 lbs., 119.00 to 125.00 (122.38); 35 to 65% Choice, 8,569 head, 1,220 to 1,470 lbs., 122.00 to 123.00 (122.98); 0 to 35% Choice, 251 head, 1,350 lbs., 123.00.
