Tulsa livestock auction report

The Tulsa Livestock Auction, Tulsa, Okla., reported receipts of 1,279 head Feb. 18, compared to 1,891 head last week and 2,597 head last year, according to the USDA-Oklahoma Department of Agriculture Market News Service, Oklahoma City, Okla.

Compared to last week, feeder steers and heifers were steady to $3 higher. Steer and heifer calves were steady to $6 higher. The supply included 23% over 600 pounds, with 34% heifers. Slaughter cows and bulls were steady. A total of 140 cows and bulls sold with 70% going to packers.

Feeder steers: Medium and large frame 1, 353 to 397 lbs., 183.00 to 207.00 (191.67); 408 to 441 lbs., 181.00 to 198.50 (187.72); 6 head, 408 lbs., 206.00 fancy; 16 head, 455 to 493 lbs., 169.00 to 185.00 (176.96); 11 head, 494 lbs., 182.50 thin fleshed; 10 head, 518 to 525 lbs., 169.50 to 178.00 (173.19); 11 head, 563 to 598 lbs., 153.00 to 167.00 (159.79); 11 head, 618 to 645 lbs., 148.50 to 158.00 (153.34); 15 head, 608 lbs., 163.50 thin fleshed; 9 head, 660 to 685 lbs., 139.00 to 147.00 (143.98); 7 head, 678 lbs., 147.50 thin fleshed. Boners, 26 head, 80 to 85% lean, 1000 to 1400 lbs., 77.00 to 80.50; high dressing, 82.00 to 88.00; low dressing, 71.00 to 75.00. Lean, 31 head, 85 to 90% lean, 1000 to 1375 lbs., 76.00 to 80.00; high dressing, 80.50 to 91.00; low dressing, 71.00 to 75.00. Light, 20 head, 80 to 90% lean, 750 to 1000 lbs., 64.00 to 68.00; high dressing, 70.00 to 75.00; low dressing, 59.00 to 63.00.

Slaughter bulls: Yield grade 1 to 2, 15 head, 1400 to 2200 lbs., 94.00 to 98.00; high dressing, 99.00 to 103.50; low dressing, 83.00 to 92.00.

Replacement cows: Medium and large frame 1 to 2, 6 to 7 years old, 1150 to 1460 lbs., 4 to 7 months bred, high black 1025.00 to 1275.00.
