Tulia livestock auction report

The Tulia Livestock Auction Inc., Tulia, Texas, reported receipts of 628 head Feb. 14, compared to 1,108 head last week and 841 head last year, according to the USDA Market News Service, Amarillo, Texas.

There was not enough feeder steer or heifer sales for an adequate market trend this week, however a lower undertone was noted. Trade activity was light to moderate on moderate demand. Receipts were curbed this week due to the snow received creating muddy conditions for getting cattle to the sale. Slaughter cows and bulls were steady.
