The Ogallala Livestock Auction Market, Ogallala, Neb., reported receipts of 6,300 head Feb. 14, compared to 5,900 head last year, according to the Nebraska Department of Agriculture-USDA Market News Service, Kearney, Neb.
Compared to two weeks ago, steers and heifers were $4 to $6 lower. Trend showed a slower demand. Steers accounted for 48% and heifers 52% of the offering, with 68% over 600 pounds.
