A Kansas Livestock Association member has reported 15 Holstein steers stolen between 3:30 p.m. Feb. 12 and 8:30 a.m. Feb. 13. The 450-pound steers were taken from pens six miles west of St. John in Stafford County. All of the cattle had a turquoise dangle tag and a yellow EID button tag in the right ear.
KLA is offering up to $2,500 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the thieves. The reward program only applies when the producer is a KLA member. Anyone with information on these cattle should contact Brandon Depenbusch at Innovative Livestock Services (785-456-5339) or the Stafford County sheriff's office (540-658-4450).
