Woodward livestock market report

The Woodward Livestock Market, Woodward, Okla., reported receipts of 5,543 head Feb. 8, compared to 3,300 head last week and 3,380 head last year, according to the USDA-Oklahoma Department of Agriculture Market News Service, Oklahoma City, Okla.

Compared to last week, feeder steers were $2 to $4 lower. Feeder heifers were $2 to $3 lower, over 800 pounds were steady. Stocker and steer calves were steady to $3 lower. Heifer calves steady to $5 higher. Demand was moderate for feeders, good for calves. Fill was average to full, few gaunt. The supply included 83% over 600 pounds with 37% heifers.
