AQHA Education site up and running

The American Quarter Horse Association is introducing AQHA Education just in time for the school year. The site provides activity plans for educators to use daily in their classroom along with resources for parents and leaders of equine-related programs.

Educators or parents can start the year off right by visiting AQHA Education and downloading numerous activities to engage and educate students on the American Quarter Horse. Choose from fun coloring pages for kids to craft projects where children will learn the anatomy of the horse, saddle parts and horse markings. Useful educational posters and a glossary of horse terms can also be downloaded. New resources will be added, with future plans to have teachers and leaders submit lessons and activities to share with others.

The activities and resources found inside AQHA Education are built with the Junior Master Horseman framework in mind. The three Junior Master Horseman guidebooks are sorted by age-appropriate content to teach kids all about horses. This awesome program is a perfect supplement for 4-H horse and pony clubs, as well as classrooms and rainy day craft sessions for any horse-crazy kid. Junior Master Horseman guidebooks, along with sample activity plans to use in the classroom or in after-school programs, can be found on the site.

For a full American Quarter Horse experience, consider taking students out of the classroom to experience the American Quarter Horse Hall of Fame & Museum on a field trip. Students will have a fun and hands-on learning experience while exploring the museum.

From downloading core educational materials, purchasing the Junior Master Horseman series and resources for parents on purchasing an American Quarter Horse for their child, AQHA Education offers it all.

Visit www.aqha.com/education and start a unique learning experience today.
