Grain market closeThe USDA Market News Service, Greeley, Colo., in the closing grain report for Feb. 12, reported in futures trading that Chicago March soft red winter wheat was $7.41 1/2, down 14 3/4 cents; March corn, $7.02 1/4, down 6 3/4 cents; and March soybeans, $14.31 1/2, down 21 cents. The export bid for direct Gulf delivery of No. 1 hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, rail, $8.73 3/4 to $8.83 3/4, down 11 cents; No. 2 soft red winter wheat, barge, $8.18 1/2 to $8.23 1/2, down 14 3/4 to 15 3/4 cents; No. 2 yellow corn, barge, $7.60 1/4 to $7.67 1/4, down 6 3/4 to 5 3/4 cents; No. 2 yellow sorghum, rail, $12.80 3/4 to $13.25 1/2, down 12 cents; No. 2 yellow sorghum, barge, $12.89 3/4 to $12.98 3/4, down 12 cents; and No. 2 yellow soybeans, barge, $15.08 1/2 to $15.16 1/2, down 21 cents. Colby, Kan., unit train wheat bid was $7.38. In Denver and the surrounding area, hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, was $7.23 to $7.98. No. 1 hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, northwest Colorado was mostly 11 cents lower. In north central Colorado, wheat was $7.23 to $7.63. In northeast Colorado, wheat was $7.04 to $7.30. In east central Colorado, wheat was $7.13 to $7.28. In southeast Colorado, wheat was $7.10 to $7.43. In south central Colorado, wheat was $6.42. In southwest Nebraska and southeast Wyoming, wheat bids were $7.16 to $7.33. No. 2 yellow corn in north central Colorado was mostly 6 cents lower and $6.88 to $7.31 per bushel. In northeast Colorado, the country elevator corn bids were $6.84 to $7.13. In east central Colorado, corn was $7.01 to $7.08. In southeast Colorado, corn was $7.29 to $7.34. In southwest Nebraska and southeast Wyoming, corn bids were $6.83 to $6.96 per bushel. No. 2 yellow sorghum in southeast Colorado was 11 cents lower at $11.98 to $12.07 per cwt. No. 1 yellow soybeans in southwest Nebraska were 11 cents lower at $13.55 to $13.66 per bushel. White millet in Colorado, southwest Nebraska and southeast Wyoming was $38 to $41 per cwt., mostly $40. Sunflowers were $23 to $26 cwt. In Denver and surrounding areas, corn was $6.88 to $7.31 per bushel. Barley was steady at $13. In northeast Colorado and Nebraska, pinto beans were steady $33 to $35 per cwt; in North Dakota and Minnesota, pinto beans were $32. In North Dakota and Minnesota, black beans were unavailable. Great Northerns were steady at $42 in northeast Colorado and Nebraska. In North Dakota and Minnesota, navy beans were steady $30.
