Farm Survey

Sunflower crop survey now online

2012 Yield Trials for the Dakotas and the 2012 Sunflower Crop Survey are now posted online at www.sunflowernsa.com.

Yield trials are an important way for producers to look at a hybrid's performance and desired traits in several locations, over several years and environments. The crop survey includes a final report by project leader Hans Kandel, Extension agronomist with the North Dakota State University Crop Science Department, Fargo, N.D.

Each fall, teams of surveyors take a tour of fields in sunflower producing states throughout the country and report back. This information is then compiled into one comprehensive report. Survey data are available dating back to 2002.
