Tulsa livestock auction report

The Tulsa Stockyards, Tulsa, Okla., reported receipts of 1,966 head Feb. 4, compared to 2,025 head last week and 1,673 head last year, according to the USDA-Oklahoma Department of Agriculture Market News Service, Oklahoma City, Okla.

Compared to last week, feeder steers and heifers were $2 to $3 higher in a light test. Steer and heifer calves were $2 to $6 higher. The supply included 14% over 600 pounds, with 41% heifers. Packer cows and bulls sold $2 to $4 higher. The supply included 241 cows and bulls with 75% going to packers.

Slaughter bulls: Yield grade 1 to 2, 1400 to 2200 lbs., 94.50 to 98.50; high dressing, 99.00 to 106.00; low dressing, 83.00 to 92.50.

Replacement cows: Medium and large frame 1 to 2, 4 to 8 years old, 1000 to 1415 lbs., 3 to 8 months bred, average, 950 to 1350.

Pairs: Medium and large frame 1 to 2, 4 years old, 1550 lbs., with 250-lb. calves, high to quality, 1725; 4 to 9 years old, 900 to 1200 lbs., with 100- to 200-lb. calves, average quality, 1050 to 1240.
