Grain market closeThe USDA Market News Service, Greeley, Colo., in the closing grain report for Feb. 4, reported in futures trading that Chicago March soft red winter wheat was $7.63, down 2 cents; March corn, $7.34 1/4, down 1 3/4 cents; and March soybeans, $14.88 3/4, up 14 1/2 cents. The export bid for direct Gulf delivery of No. 1 hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, rail, $9.02 to $9.12, down 5 cents; No. 2 soft red winter wheat, barge, $8.35 to $8.37, unchanged to down 3 cents; No. 2 yellow corn, barge, $7.91 1/4 to $7.93 1/4, down 1 3/4 cents; No. 2 yellow sorghum, rail, $13.38 to $13.82 1/2, down 3 to 3 1/4 cents; No. 2 yellow sorghum, barge, $13.47 to $13.64 3/4, down 3 to 3 1/4 cents; and No. 2 yellow soybeans, barge, $15.60 3/4 to $15.71 3/4, up 14 1/2 cents. Colby, Kan., unit train wheat bid was $7.64. In Denver and the surrounding area, hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, was $7.42 to $8.27. No. 1 hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, northwest Colorado was mostly 10 cents lower. In north central Colorado, wheat was $7.42 to $7.92. In northeast Colorado, wheat was $7.33 to $7.49. In east central Colorado, wheat was $7.34 to $7.53. In southeast Colorado, wheat was $7.39 to $7.72. In south central Colorado, wheat was $6.71. In southwest Nebraska and southeast Wyoming, wheat bids were $7.45 to $7.58. No. 2 yellow corn in north central Colorado was mostly 5 cents lower and $7.14 to $7.59 per bushel. In northeast Colorado, the country elevator corn bids were $7.19 to $7.45. In east central Colorado, corn was $7.31 to $7.34. In southeast Colorado, corn was $7.62 to $7.67. In southwest Nebraska and southeast Wyoming, corn bids were $7.16 to $7.29 per bushel. No. 2 yellow sorghum in southeast Colorado was 9 to 10 cents lower at $12.57 to $12.66 per cwt. No. 1 yellow soybeans in southwest Nebraska were 7 cents higher at $14.30 to $14.40 per bushel. White millet in Colorado, southwest Nebraska and southeast Wyoming was $37 to $41 per cwt., mostly $40. Sunflowers were $23 to $26 cwt. In Denver and surrounding areas, corn was $7.14 to $7.59 per bushel. Barley was steady at $13. In northeast Colorado and Nebraska, pinto beans were steady $35 per cwt; in North Dakota and Minnesota, pinto beans were $32. In North Dakota and Minnesota, black beans were steady $32. Great Northerns were steady at $42 in northeast Colorado and Nebraska. In North Dakota and Minnesota, navy beans were steady $30 to $32.
