Expo talk will provide updates on sorghum herbicides
The 21st Annual New Mexico Ag Expo, sponsored by Plateau, is pleased to bring Mark Marsalis, Ph.D., New Mexico State Extension agronomist, to discuss, "Updates on Sorghum Herbicides."
Marsalis will present his talk at 9:30 a.m. on Feb. 19 in the McAlister Room of the Jake Lopez Bldg. on the Roosevelt County Fairgrounds. It is sponsored by ADM Labs. This course has been approved by the New Mexico Department of Agriculture for one continuing education unit to be applied toward a private applicator's license.
Marsalis will cover current herbicides that are labeled for use in sorghum and forage sorghums as well as herbicides that show potential. He will also cover data on two herbicide studies being conducted at the Agricultural Science Center in Clovis. One of those studies is looking at herbicide tolerant sorghums that are being developed for over-the-top grass control.
