Member input needed during KLA legislative meetingKansas Members are encouraged to provide input on livestock-specific proposals under consideration at the Kansas Capitol during the annual Kansas Livestock Association Legislative Meeting and Dinner, Feb. 19 in Topeka. KLA lobbyists will review bills that could have an impact on livestock producers, which will lead into member discussions about the legislation and possible positions taken on specific proposals. KLA members then will communicate the positions taken during the afternoon session to legislators attending the evening social and dinner. State senators and representatives have been invited to the social and dinner for interaction with KLA members. Cost for the social and dinner is $25 per person. A complimentary lunch prior to the legislative meeting will feature comments from Kansas Secretary of Agriculture Dale Rodman.
