CME Group executive to address grain industry

Terrence Duffy, executive chairman and president of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, will address over 200 Kansas grain handlers who will meet on April 8 and 9 at the Doubletree by Hilton Hotel in Wichita for the 117th Annual Meeting of the Kansas Grain and Feed Association. Grain and feed industry professionals from across Kansas gather annually to network with fellow colleagues before the summer harvest season.

The meeting’s other highlighted speakers will include U.S. Congressman Mike Pompeo, R-KS, who will speak on the federal immigration policies being debated in Washington, D.C.; and Robert Overman, who is a partner in the Employment and Labor Law Division of Stinson Morrison Hecker LLP and an expert on OSHA inspections.

Other important business will be conducted during the Annual Meeting including a report to the membership on 2012 activities and board of director elections. A complete agenda can be found at www.ksgrainandfeed.org. Attached is a complimentary media registration form.

Founded in 1896, the Topeka-based KGFA is a voluntary non-profit, trade organization providing governmental representation, educational opportunities and a wide variety of other services to the vast and indispensable grain and feed marketing system. KGFA’s 900 members include country elevators, subterminal and terminal elevators, feed manufacturers, flour mills, grain merchandisers and allied industries such as grain exchanges, equipment manufacturers, insurance firms and railroads. KGFA is proud to represent 98% of the federal or state licensed grain storage in the state of Kansas.
