GOP leaders across state show strong support for Senator Roberts’ re-election Topeka, KS -

Sen. Pat Roberts unveiled his honorary statewide campaign committee led by co-chairs Gov. Sam Brownback and U.S. Sen. Jerry Moran.

“Kansas needs Pat Roberts, now more than ever,” said Brownback. “He is our champion, our senior statesman, our senator. I am honored to be on Pat’s team.”

“No one fights for Kansas and Kansans harder or more effectively than Pat Roberts,” said Moran. “I am honored to be on Pat’s team and look forward to continuing our work together to put Kansas first.”

Elected Republican leaders from across the state on the honorary committee are:

First District Rep. Tim Huelskamp;

Second District Rep. Lynn Jenkins;

Third District Rep. Kevin Yoder;

Fourth District Rep. Mike Pompeo;

Lieutenant Gov. Jeff Colyer;

Secretary of State Kris Kobach;

Attorney General Derek Schmidt; and

State Treasurer Ron Estes.

“I am proud to endorse Sen. Pat Roberts for re-election to the United States Senate,” said Congressman Tim Huelskamp. “Pat Roberts embodies Kansas with his determination to fight for our state at every turn. We need Pat’s toughness in the Senate to fight Barack Obama’s liberal agenda. I fully support my mentor and friend, Pat Roberts, for re-election to the United States Senate.”

“Sen. Roberts continues to be a powerful and effective voice for Kansans in the U.S. Senate,” said Congresswoman Lynn Jenkins. “When he speaks for us, Washington listens.”

“Sen. Roberts continues to fight for our Kansas values,” Congressman Yoder said. “Kansans need Senator Roberts’ leadership in the United States Senate now more than ever to stand strong against a liberal agenda that spends too much, raises taxes and never balances a budget. Sen. Roberts has shown he can deliver for Kansas, and I’m honored to support his campaign for re-election.”

“I’m excited to serve as an honorary member of Sen. Roberts’ campaign for re-election,” said Congressman Mike Pompeo. “Sen. Roberts has been a strong advocate for Kansans, providing leadership and experience to a Congress that badly needs more of it. Here’s to another six years.”

“It is an honor to have the support of my colleagues all across the state and federal levels,” Roberts said. “We have a strong team for Kansas, and together we send a powerful message to liberal Democrat special interests that our united front is unbeatable.”

Pat Roberts, from Dodge City, is the Senior U.S. Sen. from Kansas. Roberts’ successful 2008 campaign has been widely credited as the foundation for the increase in Republican registration in Kansas. That historic momentum was built upon with the leadership of Gov. Sam Brownback during the 2010 Clean Sweep victories and continued in 2012 as Republicans across Kansas are enthused about a bright future for Kansas and America.
