AgriLife Extension offers private pesticide applicator training April 11
Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service in Potter County is offering private pesticide applicator license training on April 11 at the Texas A&M AgriLife Research and Extension Center, 6500 Amarillo Blvd. West, Amarillo.
The training session begins at 8 a.m., according to Brandon Boughen, AgriLife Extension agent for Potter County. The three and a half hour training will give participants the needed information to take the private applicator license test, which will be administered by the Texas Department of Agriculture. Cost of the training is $60 and all materials will be provided.
Anyone in the Texas Panhandle may and are encouraged to participate if they need a private pesticide applicator license, Boughen said. The private pesticide applicator license is for agricultural producers and land owners who apply restricted-use pesticides to their own property.
Those planning to attend are asked to call Boughen at 806-373-0713 to reserve a seat.
