Tulsa livestock auction report

The Tulsa Livestock Auction, Tulsa, Okla., reported receipts of 1,122 head March 25, compared to 2,077 head last week and 1,633 head last year, according to the USDA to Oklahoma Department of Agriculture Market News, Oklahoma City, Okla.

Compared to last week, feeder steers and heifers steady. Steer and heifer calves steady to $3 higher. Due to the weather not all classes of cattle were well tested. Supply included 30 percent over 600 pounds and 35 percent heifers. Slaughter cows and bulls sold steady to $2 lower. A total of 89 head of slaughter cows and bulls sold with 85 percent going to the packer.

Feeder steers: Medium and large 1, 29 head, 320 to 338 lbs., 202.00 to 213.00 (210.40); 10 head, 355 to 380 lbs., 188.00 to 206.00 (196.13); 8 head, 415 to 438 lbs., 171.00 to 188.00 (182.08); 44 head, 450 to 495 lbs., 164.00 to 181.50 (176.30); 39 head, 507 to 530 lbs., 154.00 to 172.50 (168.39); 19 head, 555 to 586 lbs., 142.00 to 156.50 (152.66); 19 head, 613 to 641 lbs., 143.50 to 153.50 (149.35); 18 head, 702 to 721 lbs., 135.00 to 140.00 (137.75); 11 head, 765 to 775 lbs., 126.00 to 133.75 (133.04); 5 head, 828 lbs., 127.50. Medium and large 1 to 2, 14 head, 360 to 388 lbs., 173.00 to 185.00 (177.60); 18 head, 427 to 433 lbs., 163.00 to 166.00 (165.01); 12 head, 455 to 465 lbs., 156.00 to 160.00 (158.31); 16 head, 530 lbs., 157.50 thin fleshed; 34 head, 578 lbs., 155.00 thin fleshed; 14 head, 738 to 741 lbs., 123.50 to 135.00 (131.93).

Feeder bulls: Medium and large 1, 6 head, 375 to 398 lbs., 156.00 to 203.00 (175.85); 6 head, 433 to 439 lbs., 184.00 to 186.00 (184.66). Medium and large 1 to 2, 8 head, 421 lbs., 165.00; 5 head, 478 lbs., 167.00 thin fleshed.

Boners, 12 head, 80 to 85% lean, 1,000 to 1,400 lbs., 83.00 to 89.50 high dressing; 70.00 to 74.00 low dressing. Lean, 26 head, 85 to 90% lean, 1,000 to 1,375 lbs., 83.00 to 89.00 high dressing; 74.00 to 77.00, low dressing. Light, 10 head, 80 to 90% lean, 750 to 1,000 lbs., 70.00 to 74.00 high dressing; 58.00 to 64.00 low dressing.

Slaughter bulls:

Yield grade 1 to 2, 14 head, 1,400 to 2,200 lbs., 85.00 to 93.00 low dressing.
