National Swine Registry and National Junior Swine Association would like to recognize Pork Checkoff as one of four 2012 Visionary Sponsors of NJSA.
"The Pork Checkoff has been a supporter of the NJSA since its inception in 2000," says NSR Director of Junior Activities Cally Hass. "We are excited to continue the partnership again this year and, at the highest level of sponsorship, use the support of Pork Checkoff to develop the next generation of leaders in the swine industry."
In addition to being the official sponsor of the World Pork Expo Junior National, the Pork Checkoff also sponsors various NJSA leadership events throughout the year, including the Regional Leadership Conference, Boot Camp and National Youth Leadership Conference, where they sponsor 10 travel scholarships for first-time attendees. Pork Checkoff also supports the Mentoring Values People program, donates educational materials, such as Pork Quick Facts books, to NJSA members and provides Pork Quality Assurance Plus and Youth Pork Quality Assurance Plus certification opportunities at NJSA shows and events.
"We're looking at the future generations of leadership and employees in the pork industry," says Bryn Jensson, producer and outreach marketing manager for the Pork Checkoff. "NJSA helps develop leadership skills in youth who are going to stay in the pork industry."
