Live 'Backyard Farmer' Panel is Sept. 27Nebraska Ask your gardening and landscaping questions first-hand with the experts from "Backyard Farmer" from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sept. 27 at Hardin Hall, 33rd and Holdrege streets. "Backyard Farmer" panelists will be on-site to answer questions and identify samples as the show celebrates 60 seasons during the University of Nebraska-Lincoln's week-long celebration of the 150th anniversary of the Morrill Act. In addition to the live panel, program clips from the "Backyard Farmer" documentary and bloopers will be shown. Food and merchandise also will be available. A participant also will be able to win a visit from the panel to his or her own landscape. "Backyard Farmer" first aired June 1, 1953. The series is a co-production of NET Television and the UNL Extension and is underwritten in part by Earl May Nursery and Garden Centers and Finke Gardens. Visit byf.unl.edu for more information.
