Pratt 3 p.m. cattle sales report

The Pratt Livestock Feeder Cattle Auction, Pratt, Kan., Sept. 13 reported estimated receipts of 2,000 head as of 3 p.m., according to the Kansas Department of Agriculture-USDA Market News, Dodge City, Kan.

Compared with last week, feeder steers at 700 to 900 pounds were $2 to $4 higher, heifers in an extremely limited supply were $2 to $4 higher. Steers at 700 pounds and under were not established as of 3 p.m.

Steers: Medium and large frame 1, 73 head, value-added 600 lbs., 156.50; 66 head, 785 lbs., 146.50; 800 to 850 lbs., 144.00 to 145.00; 850 to 900 lbs., 141.25 to 143.00.

Heifers: Medium and large frame 1, 650 to 700 lbs., 138.75 to 142.10; 53 head, 742 lbs., 135.75; 800 to 850 lbs., 125.00 to 129.60; 14 head, 924 lbs., 123.00; 65 head, 1022 lbs., 128.25.
