Extension program set for Sept. 28

Kansas

Hear Sondy (Sherbert) Knitter share how she learned to look for the positive in each day. She survived a near-death health experience and adapted her life to live successfully with a chronic disease, rheumatoid arthritis. The program will be on Sept. 28, from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Apollo Towers Dining Room located at 330 West Court Street in Clay Center. Please park on the north lot and enter on the north door or west door.

Sondy's experience provides hope for those people facing life's challenges. She grew up on a farm in Clay County and has written a book about her experiences. Two books will be given away that afternoon.

There is no pre-registration or charge for this inspirational program. Snacks will be provided halfway through the program. The Clay County Wellness Council, K-State Research & Extension River Valley District and Clay County Aging Task Force are sponsoring this program. For more information, contact Deanna Turner at the River Valley Extension District- Clay Center Office, 785-632-5335. Everyone is invited.
