Ag policy internships offered

The Colorado Corn Growers Association and the National Corn Growers Association are pleased to announce two Public Policy internship opportunities: one in Washington, D.C., and the other in Denver for a college junior or senior during the Spring Semester 2013. The programs are a great opportunity for a student to learn about and be involved in the legislative process by experiencing it firsthand.

The selected interns will be under the direction of the NCGA Washington D.C. staff from Feb. 1 to April 30, 2013, or the CCGA lobbyist in Denver from January to May 2013. The programs have been designed to enhance a student's knowledge on bills and policies important to agriculture, the importance of grower membership lobbying, agricultural industry relationships, and the process of policy development. The students will also have an opportunity to experience lobbying, interaction with NCGA and CCGA leadership and office operations.

Information about program eligibility, features and benefits, application and selection process is featured on the homepage of the Colorado Corn website at www.coloradocorn.com. Contact Colorado Corn staff member Ann Cross at 970-351-8201 or across@coloradocorn.com for any questions. Applications are due Sept. 30.
